Had the chance to shoot with the 24-70L over the weekend. We also had the 16-35 and the 70-200. I'm in love with that 70-200 but the 24-70 was amazing as well and we used it 70% of the time. I was planning on getting a 24-70 but I heard rumors from canonrumors.com that Canon was planning on releasing a MKII version of this lens with IS. Can anyone agree that this is true?

That's the rumor. It would make a great run and gun lens.

Well, it would make sense to me that you would use the 24-70 most of the time since it covers the most practical range of 38-112. Still, the 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200 combo is like my dream zoom set. They're all totally awesome.
