Hi,
I'd like to grab 10 seconds of footage off my box and onto a P2 card. Does anyone know how to do that?
Thanks!
as far as i know there is all kinds of DRM involved with the DVR. dont think its possible without some serious fenageling

If you have something that can take the same inputs as your DVD player has outputs you can record it directly. Maybe borrow something with proper inputs if you can find it. Otherwise, you'd probably have to rip the entire DVD, decode it and cut out the ten seconds you want. But just look up DVD ripping on Google to get a more definitive answer.
cassius, he said DVR not DVD.
but on that subject, if its SD content you could try hooking up a DVD recorder, then rip the resulting DVD
or if its HD you could get a blackmagic intensity card and connect the DVR box to your computer via HDMI
i know the DVD option will work, because ive done it. but i dont know how the DRM stuff will work via HDMI...?
