Hi guys, here's my latest film, "Second Night." It is an MOS (mit out sound, no sync-sound) narrative project for the first upper-division production class at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I'd love any comments, criticism, or questions you have. Camera is in video description, lenses in credits. Feel free to comment on Vimeo as well as here (especially in the groups the video is in so can get a bump on the group feed.) Thanks!

Nice. Your shots flow nicely together. Good night lighting in the bedroom scene with the Twilight poster (whcih made me laugh). Did the other scenes have additional lighting or was it basically available light?
There was one shot in the "bathroom mirror jumpcut sequence" where the color balance changed. What happened there?
Good stuff, though.

It looks great. 1080p is beautiful. Go GH1. Excellent job.

I lit the party but I lit it really dark because any more lights and the place just would have gotten really bright. The scenes in his house were just straight available light from the fixtures, but the make out scene was with extra light.
I realized that I exported with some messed up settings so I'm rerendering/uploading now. I missed updating a filter on that one shot will fix that too...also forgot a lens, I used a Nikon 85mm f/2 for the closeup of the phone on the ground.

THe look was good, in fact the first few shots outside standing in the street were exceptional.
the interior shots were just ok, but not bad.
The story was a little lose, i wasnt exactly sure what was going on?
He meets the girl, and at first I thought they took each others phone? but i was unsure why he handed her the phone at the beginning?

It's non-linear. The street is the night #2.
I think it's like 2 shots short of being completely understandable to everyone the first time through...just little things to better signify where/when we are at any given point.
