I'm in the market for a field monitor. A friend recommended the SmallHD DP1:

It looks nice but doesn't appear to have a 2-camera capability...any other monitors out there of comparable design and price?

The small HD is prob. about as good as you'll get for the price. That really is a nice little monitor. I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the 2 camera. You mean something you can plug 2 cameras in to so yuo can switch back and forth between the 2?

Exactly - it's rare, but on occasion I'm on a shoot that requires that.

Hmm, I've never thought about it myself. I've never used one/ Maybe you could rig up some kind of switch you know. get a splitter with some sort of switch on it.

Cheapest way is to go with one of those consumer video switches (get a passive one so you don't need a power outlet)

Siply use some RCA->BNC adapters.
Also you can use the white and red audio RCA with another camera and monitor. (that's what the video village has on the show I'm working on right now)
You can also output YRB through the three plugs or even HD-SDI (it's only a stupid box that transmit whatever signal that comes in to the designated output after all)
