Just ordered my 7D and Accessories

I got everything I thought I would need for basic starting out with my camera The only thing I didnt get was a Zacuto Z-Finder because B&H was out of stock :(

I will be shooting a lot of action stuff skateboarding biking etc that's why I really wanted that glidecam

I will also be doing a lot of shorts since I am in film school and will be entering in the schools film festivals and others.

Anything im missing that could be helpful? I plan on getting an XLR shotgun mic and boom ASAP to hook up with that ZOOM H4N

what about lenses?


I'm happy with the canon 28mm 1.8 ($500) and will likely get more primes in that same price range. These type of lenses will be small/light which will help with the action sports, but a good IS lens might be better for you.

Yeah I think I wanna get my next set of equipment in this order.

zacuto Z-finder
Shotgun Mic and Boom.
Then probably a shoulder mount with follow focus.
Then Ill worry about lenses.

The reason ill go lenses last is the 18-135 should be pretty versatile for me and Since I live in San Francisco borrowlenses.com is a good option for me so If Im doing a shoot that requires me to get some diffrent lenses I can test them out before buying them.
