Firmware update problem

I installed the firmware update from 1.07 to 1.09 ( i believe are the numbers ) and now for some reason, my computer does not recognize the compact flash cards when i put them into the card reader. If i plug the camera directly into the computer, it just shows me a folder with misc and no folder with any files. The update went through without any problems but now this has arisen.

anyone else having this problem? This is a serious issue right now.

The cards have been formatted, I've tried rebooting, restarting the camera... nothing.

ya, but strange problem

rebooting my computer didn't solve anything... however unplugging my printer ( with the card reader ) allowed my computer to see them again... not sure why this happened from a simple firmware update.

and secondly, pp cs3 now sees the card, but sees nothing in it for compatible files. I have to scroll down and select view all file types and then open the files.

very odd.. But im glad it's fixed :)

That update is supposed to fix ghosting after prolonged shooting. I read one post that said it made video a tad darker, but that sounded subjective and untested.
