What's the use of an acronym if it has more syllables than a sentence? VDSLR. Besides who wants to be calling their gear a VD-slr? Venereal Disease-slr? No thank you.

It is a DSLR, period(no pun intended). Soon all d-slrs will have video function, so no need to add the extra letter, dork. Have you ever heard of a "V-point 'n shoot"? No, the "V" is irrelevant.

Stop spreading VD!

We already had this discussion, and HDSLR is taking over for that very reason. It flows better, and doesn't include VD (some of which also flows, but shouldn't).

And someday most will, but right now they don't.

HSLR is more sleak. Hybrid SLR goes with eco rage going on, anyways.
