Right now I'm only using Nikon primes, but do you think there would be a noticeable difference if I used both Nikon and Canon glass with in the same shoot?
I assume not, as it's my understanding that they use similar coatings, and produce similar results.
Has anyone worked with both in one production and been able to tell a difference in post?

I had an old manual nikon 50 mm up against a new 50 EF usm, and in my quick test, I could not really see a significant difference, even in still mode. When scrolling through my various shots with each lens, I forgot which was which.
I would venture to say that any differences would be fixable in post without much trouble, provided that the lenses are equal quality.

I took sample pictures with a Canon 50/1.4, Canon 50/1.2 and a Nikon 50/1.4D yesterday and they all look the same at their largest aperture.

new lens (canon or nikon) mixed with new lens is not really a problem
and any colour inconsistencies can be fixed in post
using an old lens with a new lens can cause big problems.
For example - I have an old canon FD zoom that I use on a GH1 and all images
have a vintage feel

Hi I'm new here and had a question for you guys. I'm thinking about getting a canon 7d and have a whole bunch of nikon glass. My question is when using an adapter mount I heard you get infinity focus or something. Is that losing all dof and getting deep focus?
Thanks
