I've got a semi-handy friend in town for a month who doesn't have anything to do all day. I'm thinking this is a great and wonderful opportunity to build some camera grip-type equipment that I can't afford to actually buy. Does anyone have a collection of links to DIY dolly and jib arm pages? I've seen a few out there but I'm wondering if anyone's actually followed-through with some that they'd like to share. Thanks y'all--

i don't have the book handy but i bought a book called something like homebuiltstabilizers with some decent plans.
i have the dollie just about done.

Anyone bought or used the second link (thanks mmc)? Looks pretty solid, I may just order it unless anyone has any better ideas or bad experiences with it...
