Anyone know where you are able to purchase the 7D with the 18-135mm?
I'm seeing online that your only option is either getting the body only or the body + 28-135mm.
I read somewhere that you can purchase the 7D with the 18-135mm from a camera store, just not online. Is this true? Just want to clarify things up.

Also, would you guys think that this would be a good buy? Or should I get just the body and purchase a different lens around the same price range.

I was able to get the EF-S 18-135mm with my 7D when I bought from Mike's Camera in Denver, CO. Itsa definitely a good lens, but now I'm kinda wishing I just would have tried for the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 rather than the kit lens. Its basically the same price and then I would have a lens with a constant 2.8 aperture. I also want to eventually get a 5D MKII to use with the 7D and of course EF-S lenses won't work on full frame. Really up to what you prefer. For me the wider aperture and the possibility of using with full frame is a little more important.

Hope that helps. :)

It ended up being about $2300 with tax. Unfortunately more than online but I also got 7D about a month ago.

I got my 18-135 kit from National Camera Exchange for under $2000. Great service too.

Yep. They're located in Minnesota I think. No sales tax and shipping was like $15 or less. The kit was $1979 with a $20 discount, normally $1999.00. Not sure if the discount is still in effect.
