Hi all,

I've decide to get this but for now its gonna be for taking pictures only.
( when I save the money to get a Canon 35 mm f1.2 , I will be shooting some VDSLR's videos )
Search this afternoon for stills that were shot with the kit lens but couldn't find any .
Would someone be so kind to post a link or a few pictures that were shot with the kit lens and or the canon 50 mm f1.8

Thanks

here is my facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#/album.php?aid=152036&id=542552929

I would not consider myself a professional yet, I still have much to learn about slr photography, and photography in general, however I am loving this camera so far.

all of the photos up until the train is with the kit lens, the 28-135mm IS USM lens.

the pics of my dog is with the 50mm 1.8 lens.

here is my video i shot with the kit lens.

Thanks to this forum I decided to make my purchase of this camera, and I intend to get started with more video work, hopefully soon I will be able to contribute more to this community.

np, glad I could help. I got the 7D mainly because I have been wanting to get back into film making for so long, but lacked equipment, and this cam was finally affordable enough to get. The GH1 sparked my interest in the DSLR market, and after waiting so long the 7D arrived and I couldn't be happier, however, now I have found a desire for taking still photography and this camera is amazing. I debated on whether or not to take it back and just get the 5dMII for the full frame, but I think I should be able to pull off some amazing results with the 7D after some extensive training and the right lenses. I am about to order some speedlites for some photography work, and then hopefully jump into some film making gear.

same here I almost pulled the trigger for the 5d , mainly if used right I still thinks it the best VDSLR there is .

I was trying to figure out how to do those fast moving shots of cars myself, so I stepped out my front door (i live on a busy road), and I shot some cars and kinda figured it out here:

The settings I used were f5.6 ISO 100 1/15 on the shutter.

I kept the car focused, and when i snapped the shutter, I kept the camera moving with the car.

I need to invest in a decent tripod, any suggestions?
