Hi

I am looking to get the 7D specifically for film projects, music video, corporate etc.

What would be an ideal lens set up? Would you suggest going for 7D specific lenses or are some other lenses producing better resluts.

Newbie to the whole SLR rigs so pardon my ignorance on this.

Sean.

A Canon 50/1.2 and a 85/1.2. Add a wide angle lens like the 16-35/2.8 and you are all set.
(Budget lenses 50/1.4 and 85/1.8)

I would throw in a Canon L series 24 1.4
really nice lens.
if you need to run n gun go for the 70-200 2.8 IS for close ups.

I would add an ultra wide angle in there, maybe the 10-22.

I think the Tamron 17-50 2.8 is a great budget choice for wide shots, and if you not afraid to use old lenses, you can get nice 50mm 1.4 lenses with an EOS adapter around 100 dollars.
