thanks, it is somewhat helpful, but no one mentions using a DSLR with it (only smaller cameras)

Looks like the D90 even with a small lens is just outside the weight limits, but im wondering if it still works with it or not?

Its garbage !!! Its cheap plastic and barely even functions as a semi shoulder support as it claims. Manfrotto have some good stuff but this isn't one of them.

You would do much better with just about anything else.
