Just got my camera on Thursday and took it out for a spin this weekend.
I am really pleased with the low light results on the 7D as I am coming
from using an HVX200 before this..

Shot with a Canon 7D and the following lenses:
Canon 24-70 2.8L
Sigma 10mm 2.8 Fisheye

Shot at 720/60p and converted to 29.97 in Cinema Tools

Some sick shots for sure. That one manual was insane, that bench looked like slick marble, that's intense.

Nice shots. I am also looking to go from an HVX200 to the 7D......as I peruse everyone's footage.....trying to decide. Thanks for sharing.

I'm holding on to my HVX200a just in case, but it's not looking good for the HVX, I'm not sure it's gonna see the light of day again. DSLRs are just too fun and easy to shoot with and get the look I want. I love the DVCProHD codec, it is amazing in post but the HVX with lens adapter seems like a total pain now days.
It really depends on what you plan to do with the camera as well...
