Here are two videos I shot when I first got my 7d

At Common Grounds is just some on the fly shooting at a local shop-

Feed the Dog is a short, goofy narrative-

Please feel free to give me some feedback, it would be appreciated!
I shot with a very simple setup, just using the onboard mic (which isn't awful for run and gun btw)

first video, very nice, beautiful girls

second video, very nicely shot for no lighting. Nice pacing and framing. Good work!, curious to know what you used for sound for the second one?

ya, jello really can't be avoided unless you pop the cam on a shoulder rig. The jello is really only present because of the hand judders which are gone as soon as you stabilize the thing.

thanks PaPa, I actually used the onboard mic in both videos. looking into getting the h4n soon, but I wanted to go ahead and get started with what I have now.

the thing is sure hard to keep steady hand held with manual focusing.

Posted on Vimeo - but wanted to ask the question here too -

RE: Feed The Dog - Can I ask you about the flickering/colour shifting that I see about 3 secs in (On the foreground albums, the buff/creamy coloured part flickers darker and shifts in colour) And the same around 1:37 on - his forehead and cheek show the same flicker.

Do you see this? And do you see it in the original file?

There's a thread going on here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=186283

And it looks like it could be a similar thing going on..?

I honestly have no idea, man. It's very apparent on the album covers at the beginning on the original files. And it doesn't look pretty. I might post this question up on the regular forums to see if anybody knows what's going on.
