<---- GH1 with stock lens and most of the dialogue was from the in camera mic. Reason for that is because I have the H4n but I don't have an xlr mic so I was using the H4n built in mics. Problem with it was it was picking up every single noise in the house (omnidirectional). My house is nice and quiet but the part with the dialogue was done at another house. My house was all the outside shots and only some close-ups inside along with the clock. The other house had a constant fan going in the AC unit that I wasn't able to shut off. I found that the mic in camera was better because it didn't pick up every noise. Due to time I had to use what I have and wasn't able to get the actors in to do a dub. All the other foley, screams, grunts, possessed voices (done by myself and my fiance), and some lines were made with the H4n in a very quiet room. Basically every sound was added later except the very opening scene with the car doors. It was a pain to clean up the in camera mic noise and not something I recommend at all.
First thing on my list is to get an external mic for my H4n. So the short was done with mostly the GH1 straight out of the box and sound EFX added from the H4n.

Canon 7d and mostly prime lenses. Fave part is Hi def HDMI output to a live 1080p monitor Doubt we could have done it without this. The focus pulls would have been off and lighting would have been a crapshoot. The mini hdmi- hdmi adapter broke on a day 3 which sent a PA to best buy for a $70!!! HDMI cable!!! which was thankfully returnable.
