But still very noisy. I wouldn't shoot more than ISO800 with the 7D anyways. Better to get more light than higher gain.

Nice work. I think it looks very usable in certain situations.

Thanks for sharing.

Agreed. It's nice to know that if you can't throw more light on something that you can still get completely usable shots in some tough situations.

Cheers!

keep in mind twilight is more difficult then total darkness. if its black you wont see the noise. this was exposed to show artificial and natural light. it was practically dark. only the 5D would do a better job. you could not shoot this with the GH1 or D90

When you scale it down even high ISO works. Noisy but useful.

Very impressive, I haven't pushed it that far yet. I can see a use for it, depending on the story line.

For ISO 6400 that is incredible for noise levels. I was expecting much higher.

Oh and liked the shots toward the end (the road, taxis and silhouetted people).

The noise IS there, you just don't see as much of it because its down sampled then compressed for the web.

Watch 6400 ISO on its original file at full resolution on a HDTV - the noise is horrible. But that wouldn't stop me from using it if the final product is meant for the web - it looks great on the internet!
