I took my 7D out again last night to shoot around the Pier. I brought several lenses, but pretty much stuck to my Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 and my Sigma 30mm f1.4. Shot entirely handheld with a little bit of smooth cam added in FCP. This was also my first time shooting 60fps with the camera (those shots are in the 2nd half of the video).

I think I'm going to do one more little video at another spot in Seattle and make this my Seattle Trilogy. Here's the first video I shot with the 7D:

I'm sure this has been covered ad nauseam on the on forums here, but I'd just like to reiterate how much I love this camera as a walk-around "capture the world around you" type of camera. It's just a ton of fun to shoot on. I can't wait to shoot something narrative with it.

Thanks for watching.

Nice bokeh on some of those shots.

Are you able to get a shallow dof, or at least a nicely blurred background, say from a medium esq shot with the Tokina? Or was that the work of the Sigma?

I like wide lenses but also like control over the dof. I had a Sigma 20mm f1.8 I think it was at one point, but sent it back b/c I couldn't blur the background, not super thin dof, just a nice blur to seperate your subject.
