View Full Version : Drill Rig! - Always wanted to do this type of shot - (test)

Yesterday I took a hobby motor and built a drill/corkscrew type rig - ridiculously rough as you can see from the photo - but it worked great - see footage below.

Now I can finally do those dramatic slowly spinning shots from the ceiling!

It scares me to death to have my 7D hanging off a crummy little surplus motor, but I finally manned up and took this test - now I just have to figure out few safety precautions and I'm good to shoot:

Yeah, the best example of this would be attached to a slow crane down to subject...
