hey guys,
could we throw out some tripod options for the 7D that are budget friendly, but strong enough to support a rig...

You're going to want a semi-decent fluid head which means Bogen, Manfrotto or Schachtler, depending on how much money you have. anything big enough to take the weight of a pro camcorder is going to be plenty big enough for your DSLR rig, it sreally comes down to how much you want to spend.
I personally use some no-name POS made out of steel for day-to-day stuff and then call up a friend or rent a high-quality tripod when I need one. If you need it to work professionally then I think you should budget $250 minimum, you'll get a lot of tripod for that if you buy a used one.

I'm using the Bogen 701HDV and 055 legs
head is $125 on its own or $300 with the 055 legs kit linked below
