Hey everyone, a while back I was looking around the stock footage libraries for some film burn and flash type effects. I wasn't able to find anything that was very affordable and/or useful. RevoStock has a couple good clips, but they 40 bucks a piece for HD.
So I decided to try to make my own. I figured out a technique that creates some pretty organic looking burns with a lot of different variations of brightness/timing/direction. Here is a link to one of the burns by itself (quicktime):

Here is a link to what they look like in a finished edit:
Video Burns in Edit (http://www.progressiveedge.tv/video_burns/gnc_atv_final.mov)
All you do is throw them on top of your video and set the blend mode to "Add". Then just adjust the opacity, speed, and orientation to get different effects. I made a collection of about 14 different burns; some short flashes and some longer flickering burns. Enough to use throughout a piece without getting repetitive or looking too similar.
Basically I just want to do some poor-man's market research and see if any of you guys would be interested in some drop-in pre-made film burns like this and how much you think they would be worth. I'm not looking to get rich off of them, just something to cover my time and give you guys an better option than spending $40 on a single 3 second clip. They are all in DVCProHD 720p/24, but could easily be scaled up to 1080p or 2K since the burn is supposed to be soft anyway. Thanks in advance for your input.
