First post and I need some help please. I am importing footage (log and transfer) that I shot at 60 frames. When I played the clips back on the HVX it showed them in regular speed so I figured the settings were wrong somewhere. Okay, no big deal. I switched back to my normal F6 settings and continued to shoot at 720 30pn (which was my normal settings used for most of this project).

Now the problem is when I'm in the log and transfer window the clips that I thought I shot at regular 30pn are showing they have 60 frames, but they play smoothly. However, when I bring them into final cut and open in the preview window they play half speed with the audio playing at full speed. I can't understand why.

Can anybody please help?

so it turns out the camera settings were different than what i thought i was shooting. that's where the problem started. i had to re-import several cards and that solved some of the issues. some clips still didn't play proper without rendering so what I did was put all of them on one timeline and export as one giant clip at HD 720p settings.

only problem is now i have to go in and chop my footage from one long clip. it's not that bad and that's the only way i figured I could solve my problem.
