Just just graded a 45sec 720p clip in color and started to render it...and a message pops up and says my disk is almost full. and i look in the color folder and check the file size of the color project that i am working on and it was 9GB!! :?

What is going on? This is the first HD clip that i've graded but i'm sure the color render files shouldn't be that big!!

I am using Color 1.0.4 and i send it straight from FCP 6.0.5.

Where am i gong wrong?

Cheers

Tom.

I believe by default your color renders are local.
Check and see what you have going on in there.

What are your project settings/Codec?

Not sure if you do alot of "optical flow" in Motion, but
that also puts "analyzed" files on your local drive...

Check which export codec is used in the project settings. Use ProRes for best quality to filesize ratio. Also, Color doesn't automatically remove old renders so if you've exported, then made changes and re-rendered the old renders are still remain on your drive. Go to your render directory for the project and remove the old renders. Old renders have a "Copy #" appended to them, but check the date to make sure.
