Hey,
I don't know why, but I can't export my sequences from FCP to Color using the command "file-send-color".
Any wonder why?
Thanks

Could you give some more basic information like versions numbers of FCP, Color, and OS?
Also what computer and what sequence settings?

Are they ProRes files you're sending?

How can I check that?
I'm importing directly from the cam on FCP without converting my sequences, so I guess it's the default tranfert format.

Anyways, I see I can export the same sequence to soundtrack pro and motion.
Any guess?

Check your sequence for any special effects or filters. Some Digital Juice elements also don't play well with Color. Jpeg images sometimes cause a ruckus. Despite an improved compatibility effort, there are still some things that color just doesn't like. You pretty much need a stripped down sequence.
Make a duplicate sequence, strip it down, try that. If it works, you can always copy & paste your effects & elements on the Color-return sequence. Oh and if your effect needs extra lead in frames, extend the clips a bit since you can't re-extend them once they are baked from Color.

What do you mean by stripping my sequence?
It's coming right out of the cam, it doesn't have any effects applied.

Ok, so you essentially didn't edit anything yet? Then my suggestion probably isn't the cause.
Stripping down referes to removing all those transistions, motion files etc... that can be embedded into the timeline which are not bare bones clips.

It's been a while since I imported anything AVCHD, but you're going through Log & Transfer correct?
If so, at the top of the transfer window is a small gear button. Click on that and you can set your import codec formats.
Mine is currently set to Pro Res 422 and Matrix Stereo (whatever that means) for AVCHD.

these are my settings... standard Pro res 422 and matrix stereo.
Next hypothesis? That's odd how my problems are always so weird.

Well, one thing I'll try when I can't think of anything else, Trash the preference file.
User>Library>preferences>com.apple.color.plist
Relaunch Color.
If that don't work you could try the long way, Export your XML info from FCP. Then Open Color, new project, import XML.
