I'm trying to figure out a way to get my titles to have less of a digital look and look more like old fashioned opticals. I'm sure there's some combination of filters that can be utilized to make this happen, and I realize most of them don't come bundled with FCP but I figured I'd check here with you guys and see if you have any suggestions.

Any thoughts?

Here's some ideas of what I mean. Some of the titles are blatantly digital looking (to fit the style) but some look really old and that's what I'd like to accomplish.

This one's a great example too. I'd love to have that kind of opening animation for my own work. But how to accomplish it...

im no expert but from my experience simple things like grain, blurs, focus can go a very long way.

opticals by natural have a "realistic" feel because of the margin of error....kinda like analog
recording.....digital is almost TOO perfect.....

try adding noise, adding focus moves, maybe some random movement.....
some cool looks in there though!

Right on. I intend to do some experimenting and share my results.
