This is a link to a thread I started in the audio section but it is really a FCP issue.
If you work with FCP and 24 frame timelines (mostly RED) or 30 (Cannon 5D Mk II) then you NEED to know about this.

This is also an issue with PAL material. Apparently any .0 format (ie everything but US NTSC video).
The good news is that some links have been added to the original thread with "fixes", mostly work flows that will avoid the bug. But as far as I can tell all the "fixes" need to be done before you start picture editing.
