mixing 7d & HVX200 footage in FCP?

I have a HVX200 (PAL) and i am considering purchasing the 7d as a secondary camera. I understand the 7d can shoot 720p/25p. If we were to shoot footage with both cameras set to shoot at 720p/25p, how easily will these clips mix?

We use FCP for editing.

Firstly, will clips from both cameras play together nicely within FCP? Will there need to be any conversions prior to editing? I know FCP handles h.264 without the need for rendering. And I am assuming that if both are shooting at 720p/25p, frame rates will not be an issue.

Will there be a noticeable difference in the image produced by both cameras? The 7d is an interesting option for us due to the ability to switch out lenses, allowing more interesting DOF shots. But will the images produced by both camera's be noticeably different? I would anticipate some color correction would be needed but i am not keen to get into huge post production to get a seamless transition of the footage.

So any insights or direct experience would be appreciated.

I stand corrected on one account - i have just read that then 7D doesnt actually record 720p/25p. It only records 720p/50p. So conversion would be necessary or we would need to shoot at 1080p. hmmmm

Actually H.264 would be much better if you converted to ProRes first- then you'd have much better performance in FCP.
