Should I purchase FCS from Apple?

I recently noticed that I can get Final Cut Studio from Amazon along with a copy of Apple Pro Training for Final Cut 7 and Motion 4 (two books) for less than $999.00. I've always heard: 'if it sounds to good to be true it probably is' but, Amazon is a decent retailer. I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a catch. Any warnings?

I have been working with Final Cut Express 4 since it came out and plan to switch to Final Cut Studio later this week. Just have to decide who I'm getting it from!

There isn't an issue buying from Amazon at all.

A full version from Apple runs $999.00 and Amazon's price is a way to discount the overall price by essentially throwing in some instruction.

Great. I think I'll get it from Amazon then. The only problem now is to figure out what to spend my $200.00 Apple gift card on (which I asked for with the intent to purchase FCS)!

Yep- no difference as long as you buy a legit copy- you still register with Apple.
