Amazon order gone wrong, where to buy 7d now??

I got in my amazon pre-order a few weeks ago, and now they are cancelling the order due to shipping address miscommunication. I am about to buy another pre-order, but I am not sure where..

If anyone would like to give some recent advice, where should I now pre-order the 7D + lens? or should I get the body from Service Photo and get a different lense since I am using it more for filmmaking?

I would go with Best Buy, they may be a week behind some retailers but they guarantee a delivery date. Others just say we'll ship it when we get it, which isn't very reassuring.

I went with the sure thing, and called up the best buy 888 number and confirmed with the customer service operator that those shipping dates are rock solid.

Also I'm alittle bias as I had a 12% discount coupon as a reward zone member which I used on my 7D purchase. but still, thats my 2cents

I concur, go with Best Buy. All of us who have ordered from Best Buy are showing an official release date of 10/11, and should arrive at my house between 10/13-10/19. It's technically later than some other retailers have said, but it seems more like a FIRM date. Not sure if you need it or not, but they are also doing a 18-months no interest Best Buy credit card on this product. Free shipping as well, but 1 downside is you'll be paying for tax on top of the cost if you have physical stores in your area.

I also pre-ordered from Best Buy on the BB card. Paid tax, but no interest for 18-months is nice.

Thanks a lot! I was definitely going to go with bestbuy, but i looked around and found that newegg.com has a release date of oct.1.2009, and recently buying a quadcore 6gig ddr3 computer from them, I thought I would take a chance with them.

I'm not sure if there are any still available, but at NormanCamera (http://www.normancamera.com/product-exec/product_id/20351/nm/Canon_EOS_7D_Body_Only) I called last Saturday (September 26th) and I placed an order for one. I just got my shipping confirmation from FedEx and it will be here on the 30th.

I would give them a call!
