I have some footage we shot with the 5D Mark II which we recorded sound with on the beacktek xlr input device. When I"m in the timeline and add any kind of audio transition, I get a pop at the middle of it. Using 0db or +3db doesn't seem to make a difference nor does the length of the transition, any thoughts on why this is happening? It's a big problem.

Anyone have this problem even with non-mark II footage? The audio has a slight hiss underneath it all because the capture device is crappy, but the pops only occur when i put transitions in, they're not there otherwise. Rendering it out full res doesn't solve it, any suggestions?

Well, I got the answer in case any of you wanted to know... In addition to converting the video footage into apple pro res in compressor before bringing into FCP, you also have to convert the audio from 44.1 to 48. Who knew.
