In the spirit of sharing work, I figured I would start a post of my very own. Thanks for the suggestion Raptor, and yes, I was inspired by your topic post title in the tumultuous and trying creation process of mine.

For the flower I just animated a sweep nurbs growing for the stem. The leaves and petals I modeled with the loft nurbs. Then I could use my spline points to animate the movements. Of course they all have to be placed in the right spot and their animations have to be timed so they act in correspondance.

I actually finished the flower a while back for another project... I think I used PLA animation back then (!). I recall it being pretty hard to get the animation to look smooth with PLA keyframes.

Welcome! Figured it was sweep for the stem but had no clue about the leaves etc. Loft nurbs huh, I will have to look into that. I haven't used loft nurbs before.
