Coolness, can't wait to see the monster burst out ;-)
Guess I'm a "FB time waster", just came back from your vivid description.
Looking forward to it.
Long live the new flesh!

Been hard at work on pre-pro, finishing up storyboards and securing the location. Shooting will begin this coming weekend.

We have a great actor on board, Bjorn Jiskoot. He's very talented and has a great look for the role.

I've begun building the monster, it will be 90% practical effects and 10% post visual stuff. The makeup effects will be mostly traditional. I think everything's looking great given our practically no budget :)

a sneak preview

We've nailed down some locations out in Kissimmee in the Disney area, some really seedy washed up motels out there that really look great. One of them was very receptive to us shooting, to the point of trying to convince us to shoot there. So we possibly may have a free place to shoot for the weekend which is exciting.

Sorry for the lack of updates been quite busy over here... it's rough handling the effects, visuals, and direction on short notice but I like working under pressure. I'm finishing another production that needs to be finished this month as well so i've got some work ahead of me! I'll post some more pictures of the monster progress this week when it's in a better state to start doing lighting tests.

It's a shame this didn't make it in. It would've given the fest another sci-fi entry and a good dose of gore, lot's of gore.

Did Rob finish it? Is there a way to see it?

Yeah he got a chopped 6 min version for the fest ready, but thought the due in time was pm, not am. I know he is working on a longer version. I'll ask him if there is a place you can watch it at.

Looks like it might make the 'Hell Gate Social'.

This film is a welcome addition. I'm sure Rob did a fantastic job telling this unsettling story. The gore hounds should be quite pleased.
