... it gives over 80° wide angle and more then 50) vertical.

It took me a long time before ordering ... but in my case where I make a lot of
city/architecture shots it is just what I need ... It seems to give more wide-angle then
a 24 mm SLR ... so my guess is it is closer to a 20 mm SLR/comparison.

It will take an expensive filter ... as it has 107 mm front. And for a matte-box ... only a
Hawke TLS does fit. (Handmade English)

Maybe this was informative ...

The matte box form CAVISION works just fine on the EX Fuji wide angle. You just don't need a insert, the matte box mount and opening is 100m and goes right in.

I've read good things about it, and frankly, seeing a screen shot was what pushed me over the edge to get an EX3 last month.
I'd love to see frame grabs at full resolution from this lens. I've got it on my to purchase list for next year.

I guess to use such lens you have to use a matte box with a IR filter as you can't go buying IR filters for all the different lens sizes...

IR problem will never get fixed on the ex camera's. It's a side effect of trying to get the image quality as good as possible for a camera in this price range according to one of the creators of the ex1.

IR contam. is easy to fix in post.

Not always. In some cases it can be very difficult if not impossible without rotoscoping.
