7D Workflow

Does anyone know what the workflow will be for the 7D?

I want to know if I will be able to edit the files directly without any transcoding or converting.

I'll be using Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4.

Also wondering if it will tax my machine much. I have a Core i7 with 12GB RAM.

Yes, yes you will. I have the same setup and original clips load up just fine. Do a search in this forum for 'exposure room' and you can download an original straight-out-of-the-camera clip from there.

Your machine will be more than adequate, i'm running an AMD PhenomIIx4 94 core) w/4gb RAM, and in fact I need to upgrade my RAM because it's crappy single channel from old machine. It is fine here - a little on the choppy side, but not aggravatingly so and this machine is definitely not optimized for HD yet.

Hmm- are you sure? I looked all over the place under exposure room in this forum and found no clip. In the meantime found some more here:
