Looks great Philip. Have your plated with the interval feature of this camera at all or does it require a laptop?

Nice footage. Was the B&W done in camera or in post?

I must say I loved your choice of backing music.

I dont get this living happy snap thing?

(generally drifting in an out of focus)

surely high FPS - test it on motor bike or runner etc

Shoot some rain, or cars, or something moving fast. Not a ton of portraits of people posing for camera. I mean, theres so little motion in these shots you could have easily shot it at 24p and just slowed it down in post if you wanted and it would look nearly identical.

What shutter speed were you using? It looks like you kept the 1/60 shutter speed because i see quite a bit of motion blur in the water at the end as a result of the slower shutter speed. You typically want your shutter speed set twice as fast as your fps. So at 60fps you would want 1/120.

the 7d does not have a built in intervalometer. but one can be gotten off ebay for fairly cheap(so no need for a laptop).

canon makes one, but its over $150. other models can be gotten of ebay for around $40.
i like this model
http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikos-C8-Timer-Remote-for-Canon-20D-30D-40D-50D-5D-1Ds_W0QQitemZ380157325695QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCamera _Cables_Cords?hash=item588324717f&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_6427wt_1388

there are other models that are longer and take triple AAA's but they don't have a power switch, which is kind of a pain. and i've gone through 2 of the longer style ones. i got a phottix model a while back for my d90 and its been going strong. another benefit to the phottix is you can just get a different cable if you use it on another camera. but the one for 7d will work with 20d, 30d, 50d, and 5d.

sorry for thread hijacking phiiip! slomo stuff looks swweeeeeeeettttttt*in slow mo of course*

does the photix let you take unlimited shots? i know some of the ebay ones have shot limits like 399 or 999 shots. looks good though. Swicthable cables will save me needing a new timer everytime i get a new camera.

thanks for advice on shutter speed ;-) last shot used twixtor to slow it down even more hence the different look.

Jeez Philip learn how to use your shutter man... LOL
ahh the internet, it's like a hyper-critical drunk parent without the awkward "I'm sorry" in the morning :(
