Finally a low priced camera that can do nice tele shots.
Most sub $10,000 video cameras look terrible.

Yes, the zooms I have for Canon are not available for the GH1. I think in the tele range fixed focals are way too much limiting.
Thanks for the previews, it's a beautiful setting out there. I downloaded the original file from Vimeo (164 MB) and there was a lot of blocking in the sky in every shots. Was it apparent in the originals from the camera?

Tell me the right spots and I try to upload a short original sequence.
I assume you downloaded the original.

Great work - almost every new clip I see makes me happy and confident that I've chosen the right camera for my needs.

I like this one. Not so video ish.
Tell me the right spots and I try to upload a short original sequence.
I did downloaded the original.
The sky has blocking
Clip 1: in: 00:00:08;00
Clip 2 : in : 00:00:24;00
The roof of the barn
Clip 3 : in : 00:00:32;00
I guess it's the compression you made to be able to send it on the net right?
Did you guys see the moire effect on the roof of the barn at 00:57 seconds? It's very small but it's there. I makes me think I might have to always shoot in Full HD with this cam. It's sad because I really like the convenience of 60fps 720 because it gives the option to slow your shots if needed.

the "Brightness correction" in fcp could have added a touch of noise

There's blocking in almost all of the solid colors like the sky. I dont think it's the cam, and if it is, I chalk it up to that "PreProduction Model" thing

Gorgeous shots there Uwe,
for a moment there I forgot I was seated in front of a laptop

I agree. I'm so tired to watch shaking tests...
BTW, how have you found the aliasing and moiré on the 1080p? I'd bet there's less than on the 5D Mark II. Nyquist theorem applies:

Oooh, awesome. Well, that answers those questions, then!
Edit: that's some smooooooth panning you've got going on there. I like your eye!

Maybe both my down sampling and final compression. I have to train my eyes to look for such artifacts.
