The mind goes to gelly thinking about the the kind of future camera's that would be needed for these kinds of displays (not to mention the bandwidth, in terms of storage and broadcasting!)

When something like this does exist, I believe we will realize how much of what we 'see' is also added upon by sound, smell, touch, and etc.
Meaning, photographing a crisp fall day at the eye's resolution will never = being there. This is a 'no-duh' statement, but I think it will be ironically clear how greater resolution doesn't = reality.
