Hey folks,
I recently got to a hardware store and took my GH1 there and spent about 4 hours there looking for usefull stuff. What I came up is a pretty nice handle, a stabilizer and a focus/zoom puller. Ok, it doesn't look really good and has is cons, but hey, I could've spent hundrets of bucks for very basic tools. Look at this:

I added weight at the bottom of the "stabilizer" as you can see. I first experimented with weight straight under the camera, which made movement in two dimensions very smooth, but the problem was, that the camera rotated too easily around the pipe's axis. The solution was to add the weight far from the center. It much better now, just have to fix that weight.
I used standard pipes with pipe caps. I drilled holes into the caps and screwed the other small parts. I can give detailed information if anyone is interested.
