So I've decided I AM going to buy one of these :grin: - now it's just a matter of finding the best deal on the net...I've seen some people mention TigerDirect, but I couldn't find it on their website - anyone know where the best offer is?

you're about 8 days late. the bing/tiger direct combo was the best. but i don't think anymore shops are taking pre orders.

Is a good way to keep track, they show a couple places taking pre-orders but who the hell knows what those stores are gonna actaully get and when, if they've left their pre-orders open this long :(

Adorama has had their preorders open since day one, they're probably gonna be backed up past their first shipment anyways...

Someone posted in this thread that by Sept 2nd Adorama had 160 pre-orders. I ordered on the first...I wonder how big of a batch they will get getting from Canon?

That's actually true, has something to do with 24p; I'm pretty sure I read it on DPReview or Gizmodo or something... very sad :(
