Hi.

What should I get for my hpx171? The hd-2000 is useable for cameras with max. 2,7 kg. Does anyone use the hpx/hvx with the 2000 or 4000?
I don't want to shoot 2 hours concerts I want to use the glidecam for musicvideos.

Would that be a good choice? I have to add 2 P2 cards, the accu and maybe a mic to the camera. That's why I think the hd-2000 could be good enough.

Any suggestions?

I believe the hd2000 would be good enough . I got the forarmbrace as well but my shoulders feel like tearing apart with it . So I use mine without. I got the hd4000 .

Hi Everts. So why do you have the hd-4000 for your hmc150 which is a little bit lighter than the hpx170?

basicly for future use with other cameras. hvx 200 / ex1 and xha1.
It worked out well .Here 's a test I did .with the hcm 150

basically just trying to make my body get " comfortable "with it.
But if you need do to longshots. or If your going to do a shot over and over again you might consider the glidecam x-10 aswell.

Hi

I bought the HD-4000 :)
I think it's right what you said for the future it is better to have the freedom to put a bigger mic or a light on the camera or even get a bigger camera without getting problems with too much weight.

I've watched your video and it helped me with my decision. Thank you. I wil show my results in the next weeks

Did you shot the streetfootage with autofocus on?
I ask myself how long I can hold up the glidecam and camera :)
A lot of people say that it is too heavy but I will see. I'm a big guy

no autofocus off and sometimes set to infinity .
The total was around 25 minutes of footage . The longest shot was around 11 minutes.
Im not big 5.9 . My hands are big and strong though I had more problems with the forearmbrace .
It could be bad posture , but I'll be posting an edit soon where I used the glidecam for a doc style commercial. It worked all to well.

Take the time to get the balance right .
