Century 75x for EX1 and Z7U/Z5 same lens!

Hello all, long time lurker first time poster.

So I just purchased the EX1 and the Century 75x WAC lens a couple of days ago. I was told by the dealer that the Century 75x lens I have for my Z5U would not fit on the EX1, so I brought one from B&H for 975.95, it just got here today. I have compared the two and they are one in the same except one has "Sony EX1/EX3" and the other has "SONY Z7U/Z5" written on the side of the lens. Same glass, same lens, different writing on the side.

Why didn't you try the Z5U lens before you bought the new one for the EX1?

And how much did the one for the Z5U cost?

Because I believed the sales man. It's about $800.

I have this adapter and its great.

That lens when first brought out for the EX1 had some major problems. They recalled it and re-released a fixed version which has the EX1/EX3 etching on the lens.

it was a EX specific problem.
