Hey all,

I have a decent set of glass I used to use with my Letus Extreme (no longer own). The thing I am wondering is should I just get some nikon to canon adapters on ebay for all of them and keep the set or should I sell them and get a nice canon zoom or the equivalent in Canon MF lenses? I will be using the camera for video much more than photos, but will be using it as a hobby and for small photo jobs here and there.

My lenses are

Nikon AI 24mm f2.8
Nikon AI 35mm f2.0
Nikon AI 50mm f1.4
Nikon AI 85mm f2.0
Nikon AI 105mm f2.5

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

I'm in the same boat. I've got 24mm f2, 28mm 2.8, 50 1.4, and 85 1.8. I was thinking I would get a Canon 35mm or 28mm since I'm not so happy with the sharpness of the Nikon 24, 28 lenses...but I will keep my Nikon 50, and 85 to use on the 7D.

Dude. Keep your set! Just get adapters on eBay.

You might consider getting 1 EF-S ultra wide to cover stuff below 24mm.

Usual suspects are Canon 10-22, Sigma 10-20, Tokina 11-16

What are the Equiv canon MF lenses ?

All canon lenses are AF with dodgy focus movements etc

the old canon glass doesnt work

additionally nikon will always fit canon and not the other way round - so if another camera comes out N or C your glass will work

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking I might do. Get the tokina 11-16, or maybe the canon. I really like my Nikons, but that Canon 17-50mm f2.8 zoom seems tempting too...lol. Just might be hard to use with my follow focus.

I'm still shooting with a full set of nikkor ai primes on the MKII, don't see any reason to part with them.

Ok, well I think I will definetely keep all my Nikon Primes, and just get another 1 or 2 AF Lenses.

What type of adapters from ebay do you suggest, that fit snug enough and focus to infinity? Some of the ones i've noticed are the Fotodiox one and the Kawa One, either one of these better than the other? Your experiences with them? If there's others on there that are better please let me know.

Thanks so much for the feedback.
