Hey All,
I KNOW THIS TOPIC PLAGUES FORUMS LIKE THIS BUT I AM IN TROUBLE!
I have been using FCP as my NLE for years. I have been shooting with the HVX200 in miniDV 24pa squeeze mode for most of my paid work.
I had been capturing using the HVX for a bit then went and bought the Panasonic PV-GS90 for capture use only.
Now than... the problem. I have read almost every single topic related to the capture settings for FCP when capturing 24PA footage shot with HVX/DVX.
Now I always either end up with footage that slowly slips out of sync, interlaced [which calls for the de-interlace filter and rendering], sometimes it will capture 29.97 sometimes it will capture 23.98.
The last attempt I had my capture settings as follows:
DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal
Frame Size 720x480
Aspect Ratio: NTSC DV (3:2) CHECKMARK:Anamorphic 16:9
Compressor: DV/DVCPRO - NTSC
FPS: 29.97
CHECKMARK: Remove Advanced Pulldown and/or Duplicate Frames from FireWire sources
I have also captured this same way then went into Cinema Tools and conformed the 29.97 footage to 23.98 but that made the Audio Sample Rate conform to 38.4
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
