Just got an email saying they have it in stock I think I put a request for notification in ages ago.
Looks ok from first few google searches but I already have my camera so I didn't do any deep background check. Anyone know?

Onecall is a reputable merchant but now that they have the GH1 in stock they're asking $200 above list.

With free shipping (and no tax? I can't tell? without basically ordering?) it's not too much more than Panny direct. ;)

Amazon is selling the GH1 for only 2,299$ USD. (http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-GH1-Thirds-Interchangeable-Camera/dp/B001WAKSCW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1252113079&sr=8-1)
You've better off buying it from Canada.

That's not really Amazon. It's Big Value Inc., an Amazon-related merchant.

I got mine awhile ago for a few dollars under $1500 including shipping, no tax.

I've been buying from onecall for about 7-8-years now. Non-commissioned people who actually answer the phone on west coast time.
Onecall is the on-line presence of a brick and mortar consumer A/V photo shop- no tax for CA and generally free (or very low cost) shipping, 14-day return policy on most items. Their store policy is to price match any authorized dealer (including on-line) with the item in-stock.
Onecall is one of the few places I have been able to rely on for 100% overnight delivery. In 2007 I called them at 3:PM, and had what I needed the next morning at 10:AM. First rate all around.

I had been watching Onecall.com for the GH1 for a while. Earlier in the year I ordered a Sony TV through an Amazon retailer and it turned out to be Onecall. I had a really good experience from them at the time so I decided I would get my GH1 from them as well.
Anyhow I was considering waiting for it to come in stock, but about 2 weeks ago the status changed from "pre-order" to "on-order". Assuming that meant the camera would be in, I ordered one.
It shipped today, Fedex says it should arrive on the 9th.
My only question now is, I ordered the cam for $1,499.99, but they said they wouldn't charge me until the camera shipped. Well I hope they don't try to charge me the $1,699.99 they are asking now. Also I'm a little disappointed, I thought I'd found a pretty cool retailer to buy my high ticket items from, but I don't like the idea that they are selling this unit above MSRP. Up until then they seemed to have some of the best prices, except on things like memory cards.
Oh well, I'll keep you all updated on the camera, when it arrives, what I ended up getting charged, and if there are any issues with onecall.
