Dubbing DVCPRO-HD to DV tape

I've tried searching around for a way to do this, but I still can't figure it out.

I have a few clips I shot 720/60p onto my P2 card, and I want to transfer them to 480i/60i on a miniDV tape. I switched to tape mode, pressed the vtr button, then held it down. I was able to get to a screen where it showed my p2 files, but they were in red, and I couldn't figure out how to dub them. How do I do it?

You have to change the format once you are in the dubbing mode to the original files format. It through me off for a good half hour the first time...
