Other than being HD.. what are the major differences in the DVX and HVX camcorders?

HVX are newer brand. I have felt the color control of the HVX is better. You can shoot dv quality on P2 and will streamline your post work. I am talking logging! You will save 1/3 the time if that is an issue. If shooting P2 rather tape and in DV mode you will never need to wear your video head and deal with head clogs. Don't get me wrong DVX is the better of the Mini DV cameras, but that is just my preference.

The P2 workflow and variable frame rates are huge differences, as well as the HVX being native 16:9 and able to shoot SD in the superior color sampling of DVCPRO 50.
