Transfering files to PC?

Does anyone know where in the manual it tells you how to transfere your AVCHD footage to your pc for editing?

The section I read, sounds like it's saying you can only make it SD when transfered.

Please tell me it can be transfered, edited and output in HD.

Log & Transfer. It'll convert the AVCHD footage into high-def ProRes.

You don't need to do anything fancy. PC's can open AVCHD files just fine. As well as ProRes.

Barry is, as he is wont to be, correct. You will need Final Cut 6 or newer. With Final Cut 7 I would recommend logging and transferring to ProRes LT...same quality, smaller file sizes.
