EX1 serial number lookup on used camera?

Just acquired a used EX1 and need to know if theres a way to lookup it history/original owner online (ie. if it was registered) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yah, i did that before even writing this thread :) First on the list on a google search.

The starter of that thread on the 'other' forum, contacted me last Friday and was in a big hurry to rent one of my EX1's and pick it up within the hour. I became suspicious when a mutual "friend" could not vouch for him, and called him back 15 minutes later to say that we didn't feel comfortable renting any of our cams and that we're not in the rental business. He became quite belligerent and that set off a multitude of alarm bells for me. I'm glad I chose not to go ahead with the rental. Better safe than sorry, as they say. Just an FYI about that guy.
