Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has found a good method to import a lot of separate clips without having to go through all the folders one by one...
Thanks!

Do you have the free XDCam Clip Browser? That will let you copy the clips you want to the editing system, then selecting particular folders from the BPAV folder will get you the specific shots. Admittedly, it's a bit complicated to go by filenames, but it's been working okay for me.

I think I didn't understand what you said or I didn't express myself correctly in my first post: I have for example 300 clips and I want to import ALL of them into Premiere at once, making only one import and not 300...
Thanks!

Even if you import them all at once, you still have to tell a batch import (if it exists) where they are. It would take the same amount of time to just open your project, open your finder/my computer and drag them into the project. I bet it would take even less time than pointing to each file one by one, then hitting "Batch Import".

The thing is Premiere has an "Import Folder" function that doesn't work because the "script" that goes through the folders stops at the first one when it encounters one of the weird files that it can't open. I tried selecting only .mp format but it halts anyway.
Any ideas?

I just drag the BPAV folder into Premiere's clip bin and all 300 (or however many) import automagically.

For some reason I could never drag and drop files into Premiere, not even one. :(
CS4.
Thanks anyway...
... does anybody know why I can't drag and drop? :D
