I just recently bought this camera(hvx200) with some savings and im filming alot of stuff but for right not its skate boarding. and i was wondering if i was to shoot 60p in 720p mode on a standard 29.97 timeline for the slow motion and regular mix. Problem is i wont know if i wanna slow it now or later. So i guess my question is if im using a 29.97 timeline in final cut and want to mix slow and regular 60p should i shoot in 720p 30p mode with frame rate on 60 or 720p 60p mode with frame rate on 60? Just confused.

Sorry if that was alot of random info there haha.

Any help would be great just trying to learn haha.

Ok. Here's the deal. If you shoot 720P60 with 60fps you can slow it down in post and have sound. Any in-camera overcranking does not allow you to record sound.

I realize this, but 720p 60p footage is at a 59.54 timeline and I wanna use a 29.97 one. Will that make the footage look shi*ty? Or should I use 720p 30p at 60p or is it the same? Maybe I'm just over thinking this.

Only in the N modes. VFR in the P modes records sound.

I shot this 720p 60fps once I got it in FCP 6.0 I used some shot with the frame rate converter.

I stand corrected.
